P.M. Wentworth

The details of P.M. Wentworth's life are obscure. It was previously thought that the artist assumed the initials "P.M." because he was a night watchman. A signature on one of Wentworth's drawings, however, has recently revealed his first name to have been "Perley." Wentworth may have worked in San Francisco, but he spent most of his life in southern California. His art was based on "visions in the sky," or inspirations from blank pieces of paper. To defend his sanity, it is said, Wentworth began to inscribe "imagination" on some of his drawings.
